Please submit your event application online (well need a link to iVvy application here)
It will take two to six weeks to evaluate your application.This time is necessary to ensure that your Event information is complete, to coordinate with the details of other proposed and scheduled activities and events,and to review the application and ascertain its impacts on the Park and its operations. Applications for larger events take more time to review thansmaller events. Once all materials are submitted and all questions havebeen answered, an on-site walk-through may be arranged with Park staff at the discretion of the Park's Event Coordinator.The original application may require revisions due to time and space restrictions, Park Rules, timing of other events, or logistical complications.You will be notified when your application has been approved, and you will be supplied with a schedule of fees for the Event, including the Booking Fee.
In addition to the Booking Fee and License Fee, there are other fees and charges:
•An Additional License Fee may be owed if the nature, size, scope or location of the Event changes (see below).
•Surcharges identified in the Licensee Fee Schedule for items such as tent floors, temporary stages on lawns and use of Conservancy audio-visual equipment.These may be determined after execution of the License Agreement but no later than twenty-one (21) calendar days before the Event.Note that the fees for these items are subject to change until paid. •Other fees and charges for services,rental items and/or Booth Fees.These may be determined after execution of the License Agreement but no later than twenty-one (21) calendar days before the Event. Note that the fees for these items are subject to change until paid.

Parking options include nearby parking garages and lots as well as metered street parking. Please always read signage when parking and avoid bagged meters and red meters.
Birthday parties: Discovery Green does not allow alcoholic beverages, live animals, piñatas, silly string, confetti, sidewalk chalk, water balloons, cooking or open flames (with the exception of candles on the birthday cake) anywhere in the Park. No electricity is available.
Security Deposits are refunded after the event to the extent the deposit has not been applied to any damages or other unpaid penalties or fees. If your birthday event is canceled in advance, $50 of the deposit is withheld. For all other event cancellations, please refer to the Event Planning Guide for refund policies.
If you choose to cancel your party due to weather, you will have within 1 year to reschedule; however, a new non-refundable security deposit will be required to reserve the new date.
Rental is $150 and includes 2 6-foot tables, 1 gift table and 4 benches. There is also a $100 refundable deposit, so you will pay $250 to book your space today.

You can bring food to the park. Please: no alcohol or glass containers or bottles.
The H-E-B Celebration Zone is centrally located on the White Promenade near the children's playground. The Interactive Fountain is on the other side of the Alkek Building. Any gathering of 20+ people in the park requires a permit, and the H-E-B Celebration Zone is the best location for all kinds of small celebrations including birthdays, reunions and picnics.

For smaller events, the H-E-B Family Celebration Zone is perfect for birthdays and get-togethers.

If you are looking to use a large space for a festival or concert, please submit your inquiry and someone will contact you.
The H-E-B Celebration Zone is perfect for a birthday party! It's available on Saturdays and Sundays for a 3-hour rental, at 10 am or 2 pm. Please choose your date and time and click Book and Pay Now to reserve space for your party!
Discovery Green does not allow cooking or open flames at the park, with the exception of birthday candles on a cake.
The park does not allow any tape, nails, pins, tacks or putty to be used on the walls or doors, and decorations may not be hung from the ceiling, trees, or shrubs in any fashion.
