Legendary for its charm, elegance and gracious southern hospitality, The Peabody Memphis has been made world-famous for its resident ducks who march daily through the Lobby at 11 am and 5 pm. Built in 1869, the downtown luxury hotel is on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to carry the distinction as the “South’s Grand Hotel.”
Meeting Facilities - The Peabody Memphis can accommodate groups of 10 to 2,100 with rooms ranging from wood-paneled ballrooms with cozy fireplaces to 1930s Art Deco retro. The rooftop offers breathtaking views of the Mississippi River while the Continental Ballroom’s ornate crown molding makes a dramatic statement. In addition, the Peabody Executive Conference Center features 12 meeting rooms on a private floor with a wide array of exclusive services and technology.
Accommodations - Just in time for its 150th Anniversary in 2019, The Peabody Memphis will complete a renovation of all 464 guestrooms and suites. Included in the multi-million dollar project are updated ‘soft goods’ and new bathrooms. The new décor will mix traditional with modern, creating a look of timeless elegance. Soft, calming neutrals and rich textures will be accented by custom paint colors and commissioned wall art that subtly pay tribute to Memphis, the blues, Mississippi River sunsets and the Peabody Ducks. Bathrooms will feel bright and spacious with upgraded lighting, white Carrara marble tiles on floors and tub surrounds, open shelving for storage, and Quartz vanity tops.
Dining & Recreation - From the classical French cuisine of Chez Philippe to the Italian steaks and specialties in Capriccio Grill, The Peabody Memphis offers Forbes Four-Star, AAA Four Diamond dining experiences, iconic bar settings, Sunday brunch, afternoon tea and 24-hour room service. The legendary Peabody Lobby Bar, where the famous Peabody Ducks march, is a Memphis “Must Do” for cocktails and people-watching.
Access - Memphis International Airport (MEM) is located just a short 15-minute drive from downtown Memphis and The Peabody Memphis.
