For a long time now, Spanish food has remained a hidden gem. Alegrias aims to bring you authentic, honest Spanish cuisine the way mum used to cook at home using the finest fresh local produce. It is believed that the Tapas tradition began when King Alfonso XIII the wise recovered from illness by drinking wine accompanied by small tasting plates between meals. After regaining his health, he decreed that all taverns in Spain would not be allowed to serve their patrons wine unless it was accompanied by a small snack also known as "Tapas". At Alegrias we believe Tapas is not just about small plates, Chef Victor Elcano believes Tapas to be "the finest local ingredients, simply prepared to be enjoyed with family and friends over great conversation.

Traditional spanish chorizo pan seared in an apple cider reduction
